Glutathione - Mother of all Antioxidants

You may never have heard of glutathione. It's a little-known, but very important antioxidant.

To give you an idea of just how important, here is a list of the conditions associated with low levels of glutathione:

  • Heart Disease
  • Arthritis
  • High Blood Pressure
  • Diabetes
  • Cancer
  • Macular Degeneration
  • Cataracts
  • Renal Failure
  • Leukemia
  • Hearing Loss
  • Obstructive Lung Disease (COPD)

By contrast, people who live the longest and have the least illnesses have very high levels of this important substance.

If you want to make sure you have high levels, there are 4 sources of glutathione you should consider. They are:

  1. Glutathione-containing foods such as horseradish, broccoli, cauliflower, cabbage, kale and Brussels sprouts.
  2. Glutathione boosting nutritional supplements including Alpha Lipoic Acid (ALA), Melatonin, Bilberry, Grape Seed Extract, and Turmeric.
  3. Glutathione precursors that lead directly to your body creating more. There are two: N-Acetyl-Cysteine (NAC) and whey protein.
  4. Glutathione supplements. Take 1 to 2 grams a day.

Experts such as Dr. Al Sears recommend getting your glutathione from all 4 sources to make sure you get enough.
