Develop a 'NAC' for Fighting Off Colds

Research studies demonstrate that NAC (N-Acetyl-Cysteine) has potent immune support effects. In one study, a group of seniors had dramatically fewer colds when taking NAC as compared to others in the same nursing home who got a placebo.

The reason NAC is so good against colds is three-fold:

  1. It is a potent antioxidant. It supports your body's immune system by strengthening your glutathione antioxidant system.
  2. It has an affinity for upper respiratory tissue (sinuses) where it helps dry them out, preventing airborne viruses from taking hold.
  3. It also acts to gently remove many heavy metals from your system, including mercury, so that your body is less toxic and can spare additional resources for fighting off viruses.

The effective dosage is 1800 mg (2 to 3 capsules, depending on how much is in the capsules) taken in divided doses in the day. In other words, 900 mg in the morning and 900 mg at night would do it.

And, you won't want to wait until you feel something coming on. It's better to take NAC on an ongoing basis to get the best results.
